UNILEX database
Michael Joachim Bonell, ed.
The Unilex database on the CISG, distributed by Transnational Publications (Irvington, NY), is produced in two versions: on
diskette and as a loose-leaf service, with supplements issued for each.
As described in the preface to the loose-leaf service:
- Section A contains the English text of CISG, while other language versions
of the Convention (French, German, Italian and Spanish) are reproduced in Section H. Section B . . . lists the States parties and
specifies, in respect to each, the dates of ratification (or accession) and of entry into force of the Convention as well as the
nature of possible reservations.
- Sections C, D and E are devoted to the collected cases. Section C [has] three sub-sections
listing the cases . . . by date, country and issue . . . For each article of the Convention there is a list of . . . "issues" likely to arise
in relation to it, and under each . . . are listed . . . cases which have . . . dealt with that issue. . . . Cases are . . . reproduced in
Section D in the form of an [English] abstract . . . preceded by keywords and . . . relevant data pertaining to the decision . . .
Section E contains . . . the full text of the decisions in their original language, where available.
- Section F contains a selected
bibliography on the Convention . . . In Section G there is a subject index which establishes a link between an article(s) of the
Convention and a particular issue.
