Windows font instructions

  1. Download the file corresponding to your OS:

    Download the Persian font from the above and install it in your Microsoft Windows operating system by following these instructions:

      a. Download the font by saving one of the above links as pfont.ttf somewhere on your hard-disk.
      NOTE: Netscape users must bring the mouse over the link and press on the right mouse button to save the pfont.ttf font.
      b. Open control panel on your Windows desktop.
      c. Open the fonts folder.
      d. Add pfont.ttf.
      e. If you are using an old version of Netscape (Netscape3.0 or older), everytime you start Netscape and come to this article page, select Options, select General Preferences, select fonts, choose user defined in the box titled, "For the Encoding", for the proportional fonts choose Persian, and press OK.
      f. Select Options, set encoding to user defined.

    2. You will see the proper character in all the pages of the article. Now, you may go and enjoy this information. (Note, when you revisit this site and you have an old version of the Netscape browser, you should only perform steps 5 and 6 to be able to read the text properly. Otherwise, everything will be automatic and you need not do anything further.)
