A Uniform International Sales Law Terminology by Vikki Rogers and Albert Kritzer || Lexical Initiative for International Law

Search by Word Descriptor

In each of the case presentations made available in this Database, word descriptors have been assigned to each case based on its subject matter. These descriptors are taken from the uniform list of descriptors created by Albert H. Kritzer (1921-2010), founder of the CISG Database. It is his list that sparked the idea for the creation of a more detailed controlled vocabulary - in the form of a library-science thesaurus to be used to index the entire collection on the Database (see, A Uniform International Sales Law Terminology by Vikki Rogers and Albert Kritzer). Via the creation and work of the Lexical Initiative for International Law this work is underway. Until such time the thesaurus is complete and the collection is indexed, we have provided below the original descriptor set created by Professor Kritzer, as another means to access relevant cases for your purposes.
