Historical data: Croatia became a State in 1991. Prior thereto Croatia had been a part of Yugoslavia, which had previously adopted the CISG. On 8 June 1998, Croatia filed a declaration of succession making the CISG retroactively applicable to it effective 8 October 1991, the date on which Croatia assumed responsibility for its international relations.
